For years, our founder, Divya Vani, watched the modern world move toward “instant” solutions. Bags of masala filled with anti-caking agents, artificial colours, and preservatives began to replace the vibrant, sun-dried spices of her childhood. She realised that while life was getting faster, our food was losing its soul—and its health.
Driven by a simple mission to bring back the “Huri-Gampu” (the divine roasted aroma) of her grandmother’s kitchen, she founded Sambar Story.
The Vision
She spent months sourcing the perfect Byadgi chillies for their deep red glow and the most aromatic coriander seeds from local farmers. Her rule was non-negotiable: 0% Preservatives. 100% Organic Ingredients. 0% Compromise.

“I didn’t just want to sell masala powder,” she says. “I wanted to give every home the ability to recreate that specific Karnataka magic—the kind that makes you close your eyes and smile with the first spoonful of Sambar.”
